The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) was founded in 1890. Our local Janesville Chapter, founded in 1895, is the second oldest DAR chapter in Wisconsin. We are a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
Our monthly meetings are held at the historic Janesville Woman’s Club from September to May (with January off), usually on the second Saturday or Sunday of the month. Our programs are open to the public and are followed by light refreshments. We ask that you contact us in advance if you would like to attend a meeting so that we can make you feel properly welcome.
You can learn more about the eligibility requirements of joining here. And don't forget to check out what we've been up to most recently on our blog. We look forward to welcoming prospective members to our chapter!
